Ghost Trees of Yellowstone

As you can tell from my other portfolios, I really enjoy photographing trees and forests. They are so shapely, colorful and magnificent, and they make me feel so full of life.  Over three recent trips to Yellowstone, I was drawn to the skeletal remains of trees that have been sacrificed to advancing hot springs and geysers, some of which are now dormant with only the legacy of skeletal trees remaining.  But these trees are ghosts with nothing of their former life remaining.  Yet their shapes, twisted branches and shadows still speaks to me.  They leave behind a legacy which inspired me to make these photographs.
